It has been almost nine years since we moved the Independent Rehabilitation Services (IRS) office to our current Ashburton location and over this time our team has tripled in size.
As you can imagine, this growth has meant our office has become a bit tight for space, even more so now restrictions have eased. Our famous Wednesday staff lunches have challenged our big meeting room capacity, so now its time to move on to a bigger and better space.
Over the past few months, Kate our Director has been working furiously behind the scenes to organise the renovations for our new office at 239 Koornang Road, Carnegie. Our first day in the new office at Carnegie will be Wednesday 23 December 2021.
We are all very excited about the move. It means more options for parking and public transport making it easier for you to get to IRS. There’s also more work space for us and therapy space for our clients and most importantly, there are great cafes within walking distance!

COVID-19 Protocols
All clients will be asked COVID-19 screening questions prior to their appointment. On arrival they will be met by their clinician and taken to a consulting room. All other visitors will be screened at the door by our receptionist prior to entering the building.
Transport Information
There are a number of ways you can get to our office.
Car
We are located close to the Monash Freeway and Princes Highway/Dandenong Road. There is ample parking located within easy walking distance in and around Koornang Park and nearby streets. There are also 2 parking spots in front of the building on Koornang Road, one is half an hour and the other 2 hours that are also suitable for client drop off and pickup.
Train
The nearest train station is Carnegie, on the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines. You can walk the 10 minutes to our office or catch the number 626 bus. We are also an 18 minute walk from Glenhuntly Station on the Frankston line. You can also catch the number 67 tram from the station.
Tram
The number 67 tram starting at Melbourne University stops at our front door.
Taxi/Rideshare
There are 2 parking spots directly in front of the building on Koornang Road that is suitable for Taxi/Rideshare drop off and pick up.
