A big welcome to Claudia to the IRS fam.

Claudia joins the physio team and has had first hand experience of the difference a physio can make having competed in sport at an elite level.

Why did you choose Physio as your career?

I have always loved the idea of working in a health role but it wasn’t until I injured myself quite badly and had to go see a physio that I realised what health role it was that I wanted to do. My physio at the time was fantastic and supported me beyond what I had previously experienced which inspired me to want to do the same for others.

And tell us what are your favourite things about being a Physio?

Building meaningful relationships with the people I work with, the variety of the work and having the opportunity to learn something new everyday.

And a little more about you, what are your 3 favourite things to do outside of work?

Cooking (preferably something Italian), exploring new swimming spots and reading.

Thinking back to your Physio student experience, what stands out?

One of my placements was in a neuro-rehabilitation inpatient setting where I worked alongside a client for 5 weeks as he learnt to walk again. It was incredible to be part of his journey and see how proud he was of himself in his achievements.

Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself Claudia, great to get to know you a little and we know your clients will be in great hands! 👏
