How we work

Caseload

At IRS you’ll be exposed to a varied caseload – approximately 50% NDIS and 50% TAC. We also have a small amount of Workcover and privately funded clients.

There is opportunity for exposure to complex cases, a range of conditions and we enable you to explore the areas that interest you the most. Everyday is different!

Work style

Completely flexible working arrangements to suit your preferences, your lifestyle and your caseload. You determine your hours and location. You can work from home or our lovely office space and you’ll of course be on the road seeing clients.

Supports

We are very serious about the support we provide at IRS. We don’t just talk about it, we embody it. The support you will receive is genuine, structured and extensive. And we have well-established processes in place, so you’re not working things out on your own.

Growth Mindset

We have a huge emphasis on Professional Development – with each staff member receiving a generous external PD budget and internally running case studies, PD feedback lunches, Journal Club, in-services and equipment demos.

Progressive

We’re not afraid to adopt technologies to assist support and interaction – google chats, meetup, online accessibility for meetings. We’re open to suggestions and trying new things in order to continuously improve.

Our culture

The IRS Way

We foster a genuinely positive, warm, inclusive and encouraging environment. We can’t help it, it’s in our DNA. We’re big on celebrations – always up for sharing working wins, milestones, personal achievements and momentous occasions.

How we work

We take action, we have systems in place without the frustration of bureaucracy. We trust in our staff and we practise open, clear and positive communication. Monday Mornings are for all-staff Huddles – an online meetup to keep the whole team across the latest company wide news and goings on.

Values

We’re led by our values. We’re socially responsible and get involved in fundraising and charitable activities throughout the year.

Wellness

We place great emphasis on our staff’s mental health and wellness – with our Buddy Resilience program, dedicated Wellness Warriors and walking catch ups around the nearby oval.

Social

Due to the nature of the work we do – community, connection and fun plays an important role in our workplace. We facilitate regular all staff Wednesday lunches, have Friday afternoon drinks and encourage social and extra-curricular activities outside of work.

Office environment

The office itself is buzzy and bright with productive vibes! Our kitchen is fully stocked with snacks, tea and coffee (we have a very cool new coffee machine) for when you’re in. We’re in a great location – fantastic cafes, beautiful parks, free parking, public transport nearby.
