A warm welcome to Josie who joined our physiotherapy team last week.

Josie is a Senior Physiotherapist and has worked with a broad variety of patients in both the private and public sectors, from those in hospital to those needing expert care in their home.

Josie also has a keen interest in mentoring and is a sessional teacher at Monash University, teaching our future neurological physiotherapists. Josie is also an examiner at Latrobe University.

Welcome to the IRS fam Josie!

We asked Josie to share with us a little about her physiotherapy career to date.

“Believe it or not, I first got into a medical research course straight out of year 12. 1 year in and I knew that working in a lab wasn’t for me! I was so lucky to be able to transfer to the 1st ever physio course run by Monash Health.”

And tell us about 3 of your favourite things about being a physio?

“I love working with people, I love making a change and I love the flexibility that the physio career can give working mums!”

And tell us a little more about you, what are 3 of your favourite things?

“My family, my curls and sticky date pudding!”

What would you say is your fondest physio career memory to date?

“Working with a young client with a complicated removal of a brain tumor to achieve her goal of being able to wear heels again.”

We know you’ll love IRS, it’s great to have you on our team Josie!
