Julia is a senior Occupational Therapist, and has been working with IRS since 2021. Julia commenced her career in aged care, where through this role, as well as numerous volunteer positions, she found her passion for working with people with neurological conditions. Julia takes pride in her friendly and compassionate nature, and the strong relationships she builds with clients, families, and colleagues.

Julia’s clinical experience is extensive, however her key interest areas are:

• Assistive Technology
• Sexuality and intimacy
• Holiday planning
• Older adults
• Complex behaviours

Julia thrives on the variety that community based work provides and is super passionate about neuro rehabilitation and its endless learning opportunities. She also enjoys supervising junior Occupational Therapists, and is always working behind the scenes on a number of projects and portfolios.

Outside of her professional life, Julia loves gardening and travelling, and is learning Spanish.

This year Julia will celebrate 5 years with IRS.
