Julia qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2018. During her studies Julia developed a keen interest in neurological conditions and mental health and took on volunteer positions with CoHealth and the Cure for MND Foundation to increase her exposure in these areas.
Julia worked in residential Aged Care prior to coming across to IRS. Her role in aged care provided her experience working with people with a diverse range of conditions, and she loved working with this population.
Julia prides herself on her friendly and caring nature and her ability to develop strong working relationships. She likes a challenge and collaboratively working with clients, families and teams to achieve best outcomes. She loves a laugh too.
She is excited to be working in a role where she can work with people in their own communities and supporting them to participate in what they most want and need to do.
Outside of work Julia enjoys gardening, spending time with friends and family, cooking and travelling. Julia likes to learn outside of work, and is hoping to learn Spanish and jewellery making in 2022.
