Senior Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Team Leader, Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor

Amy completed her Occupational Therapy degree at La Trobe University in 1998, with a special interest in Neurological Rehabilitation and further post-graduate study in this area. At the end of 2024, Amy obtained her postgraduate qualification in Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation.

Amy has always worked in the area of neurology, across the full continuum of care. She has worked in numerous locations in Australia and the UK including Peninsula Health, Cairns Base Hospital, Royal Talbot Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London.

In addition to working with people recovering from Acquired Brain Injury, Amy has a special interest in supporting people with a progressive neurological condition. Amy enjoys the highly client-centred and goal-focused approach to community-based rehabilitation. Amy is also keen to support more client’s with their driving related goals.

Amy commenced working with IRS in 2011 and was appointed Occupational Therapy Team Leader in 2016. Amy is passionate about supporting the team to achieve the best outcomes for clients by fostering their clinical and professional career growth.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going to the beach, skiing, running, spending time with her friends and family, especially keeping up with her two young children!

This year Amy will celebrate 15 years with IRS.
