Amy Jesse

Senior Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Team Leader

Amy completed her Occupational Therapy degree at La Trobe University in 1998, with a special interest in Neurological Rehabilitation and further post-graduate study in this area.

Amy has always worked in the area of neurology, across the full continuum of care. She has worked in numerous locations in Australia and the UK including Peninsula Health, Cairns Base Hospital, Royal Talbot Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London.

In addition to working with people recovering from Acquired Brain Injury, Amy has a special interest in supporting people with a progressive neurological condition. Amy enjoys the highly client-centred and goal-focused approach to community-based rehabilitation.

Amy commenced working with IRS in 2011, and was successful in being appointed Occupational Therapy Team Leader in 2016. Currently, Amy takes a keen interest in leadership development within the team through supporting quality supervision, supporting leadership of self and others to build a thriving team.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going to the beach, skiing, running, spending time with her friends and family, especially keeping up with her two young children!

This year Amy will celebrate 13 years with IRS.
