Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Occupational Therapy) from The University of Sydney in 1995 and has worked with IRS since 2005.
During her career she has gained a wide breadth of experience and knowledge working across the whole continuum of care from emergency department, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation and the community setting.
Melissa obtained her postgraduate qualification in Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation in 2006 from La Trobe University. Along with driving, Melissa has a keen interest in community mobility, assistive technology prescription including complex wheelchair and seating, scooters, pressure care, beds and home modifications. She also has experience in falls prevention and education, complex care planning and clinical mentoring and supervision.
Melissa enjoys all aspects of community rehabilitation and it’s complexities and is passionate about supporting her clients to participate to their full potential in meaningful activities in their home and community.
This year Mel will celebrate 19 years with IRS.
