Blaine Francis

Blaine completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy at Latrobe University, Melbourne in 2013. He went on to complete 2 years in the Alfred Health graduate program in which he fulfilled roles in acute inpatient and community mental health.

Blaine has always had a keen interest in physical rehabilitation transitioning to community neurorehabilitation in 2017 where he began to specialise in treating stroke, traumatic brain injury and progressive disorders. Blaine is a firm believer of supporting clients within their natural environment and prides himself on having individualised approaches to building client rapport.

Clinical areas of special interest include upper limb, stroke rehabilitation and postural management. Blaine’s primary goal is to assist clients in returning to functional meaningful activities. Professionally I enjoy supporting staff wellbeing and culture to enable a sustainable working environment.

Outside of work Blaine enjoys time with his kids, hiking and following the Blue Boys!

This year Blaine will celebrate 5 years with IRS.
