Jane Blandy
Senior Occupational Therapist
Jane is a Senior Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years of clinical neurological experience, having graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004. Jane has worked in a variety of settings, and enjoys supporting client transitions between health, home and community care.
Jane has postgraduate qualifications in clinical rehabilitation from Flinders University, with a focus on specialist skills supporting acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions. Jane enjoys sharing this knowledge with the wider occupational therapy team through mentoring and clinical education programs.
Jane enjoys working closely with clients and families, and looks forward to learning each individual’s interests and priorities. Jane is motivated to support clients achieve their real life goals through shared decision making and practical problem solving.
Jane supports her clients by:
- Providing specialised equipment prescription
- Exploring new emerging assistive technologies
- Carer and family education and training
- Facilitating community participation options
- Exploring volunteer and work employment pathways
Outside of work Jane enjoys pilates, swimming, meeting with friends, and getting out into nature with her family.
This year Jane will celebrate 6 years with IRS.
