Daisy Connolly
Physiotherapist
Daisy is a senior Physiotherapist and has been working with IRS since 2021.
Daisy has completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honors) through Monash university, and spent the first 4 years of her career working at a large metropolitan hospital across acute and subacute settings. Through this role, Daisy discovered her passion for working with people with neurological conditions and in rehabilitation.
Daisy has experience working in stroke and acquired brain injury rehabilitation, acute burns management, complex multi-trauma, respiratory, as well as community rehabilitation of people with conditions such as SCI, ABI, Stroke, MS, PD, and DOC.
Daisy has experience in supporting clients to manage:
- Gait abnormalities and retraining
- Balance abnormalities and falls prevention
- Spasticity
- Motor control and strength deficits
- Posture and 24 hour positioning
- High level mobility ( sports and running)
- Pain
- Dizziness
Daisy supports her clients to explore:
- Community sport and exercise options
- Specialised equipment (Trikes, Standing Frames, home equipment, manual handling equipment, wheelchairs)
- Exercising in their local gym or pool (gym/aquatic therapy)
- Home training programs
- Carer and Family training
Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors, especially at the beach, as well as enjoying time with her friends and family.
This year Daisy will celebrate 3 years with IRS.
