Allied Health Team Leader, Senior Speech Pathologist

Ann-Maree is a senior Speech Pathologist who graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University in 2010. 

Ann-Maree has worked in the neurological rehabilitation space for over a decade across the continuum of care. She has completed her level two training in Community Based Rehabilitation for ABI and is LSVT certified. Ann-Maree is also one of only seven accredited ‘Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique’ (SMART) Assessors in Australia which is a comprehensive assessment and intervention tool designed specifically for people in Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness. Ann-Maree was appointed the role of Allied Health Leader in 2020 and enjoys leading a diverse and talented multidisciplinary team. 

Ann-Maree has extensive experience working with clients with Neurological Disorders to collaboratively address:

  • Cognitive-Communication Disorders
  • Progressive neurological disorders
  • Dysphagia (swallowing impairment)
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) goals
  • Speech and Language difficulties 
  • Fluency 

Ann-Maree is passionate about working with people with Traumatic Brain Injury and she enjoys the unique challenges of helping people to find their voices through AAC solutions.

Outside of work, Ann-Maree likes to catch up with family and friends, read and make and eat delicious food.

This year Ann-Maree will celebrate 8 years with IRS.
