Talia Lipschitz
Community and Connection Leader, Senior Speech Pathologist
Since graduating from her Bachelor of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University in 2010, she has gained a wealth of experience in the neurological rehabilitation space working across both private and public health sectors.
Talia has been with IRS since 2017 and during this time she has developed her leadership skills and her keen interest in the people and culture side of the business. She was appointed in the role of Community and Connection Leader in June 2023.
Talia has many years experience in managing clients with:
- Aphasia
- Dysarthria/speech (in particular hypokinetic dysarthria for people with Parkinson’s Disease)
- Dysphagia (swallowing impairment)
- Apraxia
- Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
- Cognitive-Communication Disorders
- Voice
Her special areas of interest lie in Traumatic Brain Injury, Aphasia and Parkinson’s Disease and she is an LSVT LOUD certified Speech Pathologist.
Talia is all about supporting her clients in volunteering and employment opportunities, functional and multimodal communication, assistive technology for communication, eating and drinking with acknowledged risk and developing and maintaining social connections.
Talia is passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives, whether that be with our clients through the clinical work, or with our staff and providers we work with to support the high quality care we provide to our clients.
In her spare time, Talia enjoys keeping active and going to pilates, as well as cooking and baking.
This year Talia will celebrate 7 years with IRS.
