Georgia Atkinson
Occupational Therapist
Georgia has joined us as a new graduate after completing her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Swinburne University of Technology in 2024. Using a client-centred approach is at the heart of Georgia’s practice, where she uses her knowledge and skills to empower clients to achieve the goals that they want and need to do.
Georgia has a special interest in building independence for clients who have experienced a neurological condition or injury. Georgia has gained experience in working with these populations during clinical placement, her work as an Allied Health Assistant and as a Support Worker.
Georgia enjoys authentically connecting with clients, their loved ones and their team of health professionals to collectively work together to achieve positive outcomes and improve quality of life. Georgia values creating innovative, tailored and practical solutions for her clients and implementing interventions at home and in the community where clients meaningfully spend their time.
Outside of work, Georgia can be found exploring nature trails with a podcast, watching an interesting movie at the cinema, reading a cosy novel with a cup of lavender tea or cooking up a 2kg slab of caramel slice for her family and friends (just to spoil their diets!). She’s looking forward to making positive and meaningful changes in her client’s lives throughout her career as an OT.
