April Friend

April qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2017 after completing her Bachelor’s degree at Monash University.

Beginning in community Aged Care, April then moved into the acute care setting and developed experience through a variety of areas from Neurology, Oncology and Palliative care to slow stream rehabilitation. April has a keen interest in the areas of Neurological rehabilitation and disability that started when she worked as a disability support worker.

Her interest developed further while working on the Neuro ward at Box Hill Hospital, seeing patients post stroke and with varying neurological conditions.

Outside of work April enjoys music, time with her family and travelling.
